Cancelation, Rescheduling and Refund Policy

A CREDIT CARD IS REQUIRED TO BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT!

We understand that life happens and sometimes appointments need to be changed. To ensure a seamless experience for all our clients, we kindly request your cooperation with the following policy:

48-Hour Notice:
​
We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling of any service. This allows us to adjust our schedule accordingly and offer your appointment time to another client.
​

24-Hour Notice or Less:
​
Cancellations or reschedulings made within 24 hours of your appointment time may be subject to a charge of up to 50% of the total service cost. This fee helps cover the time reserved for you and the potential loss of income for our stylist.
​

No-Shows:
​
Failure to arrive for your scheduled appointment without any prior notice will result in a charge of 80% of the total service cost. This fee reflects the significant impact of no-shows on our business and the inability to fill that time slot with another client.
​

Booking Deposits:
​
For certain services, such as hair extensions or extensive color treatments, we may require a non-refundable booking deposit to secure your appointment. This deposit will be applied towards the final cost of your service.
​

Exceptions:
​
We understand that emergencies may arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule within the 48-hour window due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and may waive the cancellation fee at our discretion.


We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this cancellation and rescheduling policy. It allows us to provide the best possible service to all our valued clients.

Confirmation Emails

As a courtesy, we will EMAIL you a reminder prior to your appointment date. Please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times to  avoid late arrivals, missed appointments and the cancellation fee. We will also call to confirm your appointment! We do all this to remain one of the best hair salon in New Jersey.

No Refund Policy

At AME Salon, we strive to provide the highest quality hair services and ensure your satisfaction. Due to the nature of our services and the products used, we have a strict no-refund policy. However, we are committed to working with you to achieve your desired results.

Hair Services

All hair services, including cuts, color treatments, styling, and chemical treatments, are non-refundable. We encourage thorough consultations before your service to ensure clear expectations and understanding. Should you have any concerns about your service, please notify us within [number] days, and we will gladly discuss options for adjustments or corrections.

Hair Extensions

Hair extensions are a highly personalized and transformative service. Due to the bespoke nature of this service and the significant time and resources involved, we require a non-refundable deposit of $400 to secure your appointment and initiate the hair ordering process. This deposit will be applied towards the final cost of your hair extensions.

The application of hair extensions is a meticulous and time-intensive process, often taking several hours to complete. This requires the expertise of our skilled stylists and the use of specialized tools and techniques. Due to the intricate nature of this service and the custom ordering of hair to match your specific needs, all hair extension sales are final, and no refunds will be issued. This includes the cost of the hair, the installation service, and the non-refundable deposit.

We highly recommend a thorough consultation before your hair extension appointment to ensure we understand your desired look and can recommend the best type of extensions for your hair type and lifestyle. During this consultation, we will discuss the different types of extensions, colors, lengths, and application methods available, as well as provide you with detailed care instructions to maintain the longevity and beauty of your extensions.

Important Note: In the unlikely event that you need to cancel or reschedule your hair extension appointment, please provide us with at least 48h  notice. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of your deposit.

By booking a hair extension appointment at AME SALON, you acknowledge and agree to the non-refundable deposit requirement and our no-refund policy for hair extensions.

Exceptions

While we adhere to our no-refund policy, we understand that unique circumstances may arise. In the following situations, we may consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis:

  • Manufacturer Defects: If your hair extensions are found to have a verifiable manufacturer defect within [number] days of purchase, we will offer a replacement or exchange for the same product, subject to availability.

  • Allergic Reactions: In the rare event of a severe allergic reaction to the hair extensions or adhesive products used during installation, documented by a medical professional, we may offer a store credit or partial refund at our discretion.

  • Product Refunds: Unopened and unused hair care products purchased from our salon may be returned for a full refund within15 days of purchase, accompanied by a valid receipt. Products must be in their original packaging and condition. We reserve the right to refuse a return if the product shows signs of use or damage.

Please note that general dissatisfaction with the color, style, or length of the hair extensions does not qualify for a refund or exchange, as these aspects are thoroughly discussed during the consultation process. Additionally, any alterations or damage to the hair extensions caused by improper care or maintenance will void any possibility of an exception to our policy.
